I hope you have been enjoying these beautiful days of summer. Maybe, like me, you have felt it going so fast, and are treasuring the moments.
My body is definitely letting me know when I am pushing too hard, as these summer days are fleeting and I want to get it all in. My nervous system activates and my body begins feeling the effects.
Especially after the last few years and the seeming state of this world. It’s easy for many of us to be in this heightened awareness within our bodies. While activation is normal, and healthy, it’s when it is constantly on alert that our body, mind & emotions, begin to stress.
Digestion slows.
The brain thinks less clearly.
The heart works harder.
Sleep is disturbed.
Muscles are tighter.
In this state it can sometimes feel like things are out of control.
You may ask “What can I control?”
“What can I do?”
One thing you can control and one thing you can do is own YOUR personal wellness.
When the nervous system is activated- one of the things we begin to overlook is our personal wellness.
We forget to take supplements. We ignore our oils. We don’t fill a diffuser. We take shorter breaths. We stop moving our body. We eat more sugar. The discomfort makes us shell up.
There is a lot of discomfort lately.
and I’m not sure that will change anytime soon. Instead, we must take personal ownership.
10 ways to support the Nervous System:
Using essential oils. Stress away, Frankincense. Valor. Clove. Tree oils. Copaiba.
Intentional breathing.
Filling the diffusers! Making the environment feel soothing is extra helpful.
Taking supplements. Especially mineral essence and aminowise.
Drinking extra water.
Gently moving the body.
Acknowledging emotions. Denying stress is NOT helpful. Recognizing and journaling helps move it out of body.
Taking CBD. (One dropper full under the tongue. I personally like Nature’s Ultra Cinnamon.)
Snack on something fresh.
Get outside and enjoy these summer days.
So, even though we are in the heart of the joys of summer- you may also be needing the reminder to check in with yourself, and take care of your personal wellness.
